The Fellowship distribution program of 'Sharad Pawar Inspire Fellowship' by Yashwantrao Chavan Centre was held in the presence of hon’ble Shri. Sharadchandraji Pawar. Senior agronomist Dr. C D Mayee was present on the occasion.
This fellowship was started last year under the chairmanship of Senior nuclear scientist Dr. Anil Kakodkar by 'Yashwantrao Chavan Centre' in honour of the illustrious career led by hon’ble Pawar Saheb.
Under this, meritorious people in the fields of Agriculture (Sharad Pawar Inspire Fellowship in Agriculture), Literature (Sharad Pawar Inspire Fellowship in Literature) and Education (Sharad Pawar Inspire Fellowship in Education) are encouraged and trained for future leadership.
Guidance and support by Agricultural Development Trust Baramati, Rajendra Pawar, Prof. Nilesh Nalawade and Sahyadri Farms Nashik is being received for the fellowship in agriculture, while support from MKCL Foundation and Vivek Sawant is being received for the fellowship in Education. Prof. Nilesh Nalawade for Fellowship in Agriculture, Prof. Nitin Rindhe for Fellowship in Literature. and Vivek Sawant for the Fellowship in the Education are acting as the Chief Coordinators.
The Sharad Pawar Inspire Fellowship has received a great response for the second year in a row. The selection committee of Yashwantrao Chavan Centre has selected a total of 132 fellows for the second batch of 2022-2023, 80 for 'Sharad Pawar Inspire Fellowship in Agriculture', 12 for 'Sharad Pawar Fellowship in Literature' and 40 for 'Sharad Pawar Inspire Fellowship in Education'. All of them were awarded the fellowship by hon. Pawar Saheb.
On this occasion, Yashwantrao Chavan Centre’s Treasurer Hemant Takle, Chavan Centre’s CEO Deepti Nakhle, Agricultural Development Trust CEO Professor Nilesh Nalawade, Prof. Nitin Rindhe, Dutta Balsaraf, Yogesh Kudale, members of the advisory committee of all the three fellowships, members of the selection committee, first and second year fellows and their families were present.
